I must say that it’s about time to see the Clarkson Pep Band be in the cross hairs of some self-inflicted bantering due to their childish rude antics throughout the years. I also applaud the Pep Band president but cannot help but wonder why the president of the college does not speak out on this issue as well. Why are the ringleaders of their “clever chants” still in the band only to come up with more cleverness (there’s no Santa??). Again this must be a very proud moment for Clarkson to have the community that opens its doors to the university and supports its teams finally speak out that this type of behavior is unacceptable, an embarrassment to the community and needs to have the reins pulled in only to fall on deaf ears at the upper levels. The president of Clarkson should come out from hiding and address this issue. Get rid of those who make up the rude, crude pep band.”
