After a successful field day held by the Hopkinton-Ft. Jackson Fire Department, they were quickly awakened on Sunday morning to a fire at their own fire station. After battling it for hours, it was extinguished only to rekindle on Monday. Men and women from area departments spent many volunteer hours fighting the battle. Thankfully, no one was hurt and no major equipment was lost. Working as a team and fighting for their families second home. Imagine how it makes them feel to have someone spread rumors as to it being suspicious fire because their equipment was left out Saturday night and then posting it on Facebook page asking if it was arson. I would suggest that the rumors stop. The volunteers don't need to deal with this nonsense. Pray this never happens to your home. But if it does, don't worry, because the firemen are professional and don't hold grudges. They will be there to help you in your time of need.
