Today as I was parking my car by the local Dollar Tree in Massena, I noticed an elderly woman going up the steps with one hand on the railing and the other trying to maneuver her folded up walker. I watched as people came down the steps and did not offer any help. I quickly got out of my car and asked her if she need any help. "Yes, that would be nice," She said, a smile on her face. She asked me to take her walker until she got to the top of the steps. Once there, I continued by helping her with the door and asking her if she needed any more help before I did my shopping. In total it took maybe five minutes of my time. It was worth it. What happened to being a good Samaritan?
