In response to "Firefighters, Rescuers Aid Goose," which ran in the Feb. 21-27 issue of North Country This Week, should a goose have been left frozen in the river? No! All life matters and to suggest that the men who rescued it were at real risk is preposterous. What if emergency services could pick and choose whose emergencies they responded to? They might decide that since you seem to care little for anything but yourself, not to respond to your request if ever needed.
