In response to the Letter to Editor “Ounce of Prevention Worth a Pound of Cure” and many others do not believe in safe and legal abortions. That’s their opinion. However, the author continues to support his position with lies. On the American Cancer Society website it says research has shown “no cause-and-effect link” between abortion and breast cancer. The link between oral contraceptives and breast cancer is a bit murkier because breast cancer is caused by hormones, but not necessarily by oral contraceptive use. I wish the author and NorthCountryNow.com/North Country This Week would stop printing lies. They may steer women away from choosing to take control of their own bodies, health and lives if they listen to this drivel, and that’s a printable term for what the author writes.
