To the person wondering why people could possibly be traveling in the morning on 11B (“Relax and Enjoy the Ride,” Sound Off, March 7-13) do you live on 11B? Because I do and there is constant traffic, all day and all night long, going speeds ranging between 50 and 80 mph, even during the winter. I don’t know about you, but I would never be a pedestrian on a state highway such as 11B, there have been so many accidents and fatalities it is not safe to even attempt so. Also, do you think 11B is a leisurely road? How often do you take 11B, because it has become the major route between Potsdam and Malone, not US 11, and honestly, ‘Sunday drivers’ have no place on a major rural highway. Maybe if we get I-98, 11B can become the scenic route you so desperately want.
