THE OLE SMOKEHOUSE, 3512 Rt. 14, Madrid, 322-4125. Stephen and Robin Barkley purchased the former Terry’s Tavern in September 2006. After many renovations and new construction they became The Ole Smokehouse serving the North Country with great BBQ in a fun atmosphere. Along with their three children, Amanda, Brandon, and Blake, they hope to serve you for many years to come! Nightly specials include 50 cent Wing Night on Wednesdays; smoked prime rib on Wednesdays and Thursdays; wing and draft specials on Sundays; and special guest entertainment by Lacie Stoddard on Fridays from 8 to11 p.m. Bring the family and try the Chuck Wagon Family Feast, serving four to five with full rack of St. Louis Ribs, one whole chicken, half pound each of pulled pork and beef brisket with choice of four sides, biscuits and corn bread. At The Ole Smokehouse, their meats are slow smoked for up to 12 hours bringing great tasting, authentic barbeque to the North Country every time you visit.
