Thomas W. Hazeltine, 68, of Canton, and Andover, passed away Sept. 4, 2010, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, with pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born in Rutland Aug. 1, 1942, the son of Clark W. and Elizabeth (Thomas) Hazeltine.
He graduated from Chester High School in 1960 and Vermont Technical College in 1962.
Mr. Hazeltine was a "jack of all trades" and retired from truck driving in 2006 when he moved to Colton, to take care of his daughter's farm. Most recently, he enjoyed working part time for Meals on Wheels of St. Lawrence County.
He also enjoyed serving as a legislative page in 1956, farming, riding his bicycle and sightseeing.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Tracy (White); two daughters, Jeanette Haight of Andover and Tammie Holloway of Lodi, Calif.; two stepchildren, Nathan Hicks of Salem, N.H., and Jennifer Carpenter of Harriman, Tenn.; a sister, Alice Lindquist of Andover; seven grandchildren; several nephews, nieces and in-laws.
A private gathering will be held at a later date.
