NORFOLK – A man and woman from Norfolk have been charged in connection with an alleged burglary, the woman now being charged in an alleged theft for the fourth time since Dec. 30.
Sasha S. Monroe, 23, was charged Tuesday with burglary: illegal entry with criminal intent, a Class C felony, in connection with a state police investigation begun of Feb. 7. Her status was reported as “held.”
As part of the same investigation, Jeremy J. Monroe, 30, was charged Tuesday with the Class A misdemeanor of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and was issued an appearance ticket.
Sasha Monroe was charged with petit larceny Dec. 30, trespass and petit larceny Jan. 3, and with petit larceny Jan. 11 after an alleged shoplifting incident from the Potsdam Walmart where she was said to have tried to leave the store without paying for $316.93 worth of batteries and personal grooming products hidden in her clothing.
Troopers said the investigation into the most recent incident is continuing.
