CANTON -- The Cornell Cooperative Extension Farm will host 4-H Equine Classes in the month of January.
Events began Jan. 12 when Michele Young, North Lawrence, a Level 3 Parelli Horsemanship trainer, presented on the highlights of the Parelli program.
Kari Schermerhorn, Pine Hill Stable in Gouverneur presented on various horse colors.
Classes are informative and helpful for 4-H members working on competing in Horse Bowl and Hippology.
The next class will be Saturday, Jan. 19, focusing on the Equine foot.
Bill Meyers will be demonstrating his expertise in the field of Farrier work.
The class is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and will run to 1 p.m.
Anyone interested in attending the session on the 19th please call the Extension Office to register at 379-9192. Classes are free to 4-H members. Entry for non-members is $3.
