Graveside services for Geraldine F. “Gerry” Madill, age 77, of County Route 10 Heuvelton, will be held in the spring at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton. There will be no calling hours.
Surviving is her husband Charles; two sons, Christopher Madill of Orlando, FL and Kevin Madill and his wife Karen of Heuvelton; a daughter, Joni Wright of Heuvelton; grandchildren Crystal Phelps, Jason Madill, Julia and Kevin Wilkinson, Jerry Newvine, Katie Huto and Logan Armstrong; great-grandchildren Cayne Trimm, Cadyn Trimm, Savannah Huto and Caleb and Damon Wilkinson; a sister, Irene Spearance of Lisbon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a son, Robert R. Madill; six brothers, Mark, Edwin, Arnold, Carlton, Kenny and Dale Kerr; and a sister, Pauline Kerr.
Gerry was born on April 18, 1935 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Rodney J. and Jennie (Melhinch) Kerr. She attended Ogdensburg and Lisbon schools for her education and married Charles E. Madill on October 18, 1957 in Plattsburgh. She managed the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center Store for a period and then became a stay at home Mom to raise her family. She was a past member of the Heuvelton Women’s Bowling League and enjoyed playing bingo, collecting antiques, gardening, watching humming birds, traveling, winter months in Florida and spending time with her loving family.
