I am curious about how those in charge of balancing budgets and the resultant tax increases think private taxpayers are going to come up with more money, from their personal budgets, to cover government spending. As a private citizen, I do not have a down line of hard working people I can squeeze more tax dollars out of to balance my personal budget. Financial advisers tell clients to cut unnecessary items and luxuries out their personal budgets when there just is not enough money to cover the necessary expenses. Please explain to me why our government offices do not function in this same manner. There is certainly still much government spending at the local, state and federal levels on unnecessary items and luxuries. The time has come to seriously cut public spending and stop squeezing taxpayers for a huge percentage of our annual personal income.
