Bernard Farden, age 95, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010, surrounded by his family. Bernard was born and raised in Heuvelton, New York. He received his degree from Syracuse University. Bernard taught school for 4 years and then worked at Alcoa in Massena, New York for 30 years. Bernard and wife, Lodene, met as children in Heuvelton and were married for 71 years. She was the love of his life. He is survived by his wife, Lodene, two sons, Dana (Linda), S1, Petersburg, FL, and Bill (Roxana) of Oswego, NY, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Bernard will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father, and will be truly missed by his family and special friends with the Hospital Auxiliary at Cape Canaveral Hospital. His family wants to thank the wonderful caregivers at Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice for their special care and love. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 28, at 11 a.m. at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach, followed by a Celebration of Life in the church fellowship hall.
