Diane Conran, age 61, of Gouverneur, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.
Calling hours will be on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. The funeral service will be on Saturday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Lay Pastor Judy Sibley of the Spragueville United Methodist Church officiating. Diane was born on November 13, 1950 in Potsdam, to the late Donald and Doris (Matice) Connor. She graduated from Madrid-Waddington High School and then graduated from Syracuse University with her Masters Degree in Special Education.
Diane married Bill Conran on August 18, 1984. The couple lived in Newton Falls until moving to Gouverneur 16 years ago. Diane worked at Clifton-Fine Central School as a Special Education Teacher and Track Coach until becoming disabled. She loved playing the piano; gardening, especially her flowers; and loved being around her friends and people.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of Gouverneur; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Willie and Vicki Connor, James Connor and Curtis Connor; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and David Dardaris; and several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
