I find it sad that the Curley family (Waddington) is being used as an example because they did not have fire alarms in their home. Yes, this was unfortunate for them, and they could have made a better decision. However, the community should be coming out to help this family (who has done so much for others) in their time of need instead of ostracizing them for not having smoke alarms in their home. I understand that it is Fire Prevention Month, but please do not make an example of this family and ignore the fact that they need the community's support now more than ever. Losing a home is one of the worst things that can happen to anyone, and we should all be glad that all members of the family are healthy and safe.
