Mrs. Sharon L. LaDue, 70, 180 N. Main Street, peacefully passed away in her home Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
Sherry was born August 2, 1942, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Frederick F. and Elizabeth M. Reed LaRose. She attended Norwood Norfolk Central School, and on February 14, 1961 married James M. LaDue at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk, with Rev. Francis Connors officiating.
Sherry was a member of the Norfolk American Legion Auxiliary since 1974. She was a homemaker and truly enjoyed her time with her family. She enjoyed painting, and camping, and for the past 13 years, she and her husband enjoyed winters, six months out of the year in Zephyrhills, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, James; two sons, William and Donald, both of Massena; a daughter, Becky of Virginia; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; five sisters, Beverly “Annie” Talcott of Texas, Mary and Gordon Cameron of Ogdensburg, Diane French of Chateauguay, Susan and Mark Black of Potsdam, and Kathy and Ed Durant of Ogdensburg; and two brothers, Ronald F. and Valerie LaRose of Central Square, and William H. and Wendy LaRose, of Virginia.
Sherry was predeceased by a son, John LaDue, May 12, 2011; and a brother, Steven P. LaRose in 1951.
Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, Thursday 9-11 a.m., service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donald Manfred officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
