OGDENSBURG --Several area musicians donated their time and talent Sept. 29 at the jamboree for Donna Raymon, a stroke victim, that was held at Ghizes, in Ogdensburg.
Ghizes recently opened on Main Street in what was formerly The Ship Yard.
"It was great to see some many people come out and support Donna and her family," said Stoddard. "I was very honored for the invite to play and even more honored to meet Donna in person. She is truly an amazing person."
Activities for the day included food, raffles, an auction, and live music from Shawn Stoddard, Ross Belovich, Paparazzi Scandal, Five Quarter and Dave Wells.
Sound was provided by Todd Brown and Dave Flight. All proceeds raised will help cover medical expenses. Stoddard recently released his debut album Further Down that Road.
At the jamboree Stoddard played originals as well as a few cover songs.
"Donna's son John told me that All Summer Long by Kid Rock was one of her favorites," Stoddard said. "So Ross and I decided to it would be fun to surprise Donna with that song."
Anyone interested in helping Raymon should send donations to Po Box 132, Heuvelton, NY 13654.
