Blanche E. Paquin, 85, of 159 Mill Road, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 23rd, 2012 at Massena Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Friday.
Blanche was born on January 25th, 1927 in Yorkville, NY, the daughter of William and Florence Lasluer Newtown. She attended schools in Fort Covington. In 1940 she married George R. Paquin. He predeceased her May 14th, 1988.
Blanche was a homemaker and also she and her late husband were co-owner of Paquin’s Store in Bombay. She thoroughly enjoyed the sights and sounds of travel, and planting flowers.
She is survived by her son, Steven Paquin, Norfolk; two daughters in law, Betty Paquin of North Carolina and Donna Paquin of Indiana; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and many cousins.
Blanche was predeceased by three sons, Frank Wm. in infancy, Clinton “Butch” in 1973, and Robert in 2009; three brothers, Cliff Newtown, Rex Newtown, and Harold Newtown; seven sisters, Lillian Newtown, Dorothy Newtown, Mildred Brothers, Pauling Newtown, Irene Newtown, Beulah Newtown, and Heilda Newtown; and a daughter-in-law, Kathryn A. Paquin.
Friends may call Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where funeral services will be held Thursday, October 4th, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Visitation Cemetery, Massena. Donations to the family are appreciated.
