MASSENA -- The 2011-2012 Long Sault Archery Club’s Junior Archery League ended its season last week with their awards banquet held at the Massena Rod & Gun Club. There were 28 archers in this year’s league.
The purpose of the junior league is twofold. First, it teaches youngsters from Pee-Wees (eight and under) to Young Adults (17) the proper technique to become a proficient archer while always stressing safety. Second, it helps promote the sport of archery for both target and hunting purposes.
