Patricia Ann Congel, 64, a resident of Lake George passed away on Friday July 9, 2010 at her home following a long illness.
She was born on May 8, 1946 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of the late Arthur Hurst and Dorothy (Smith) Hurst Lovely.
Pat Congel was a woman of tradition and family. She passed on the importance of family to her children and grandchildren. She left behind many Congel Family traditions that will live long in her memory. She was a creator and maker of so many things. She had the most beautiful gardens and could sew a gown fit for a princess. She would turn ordinary photos into a scrapbook of memories. She wasn't conventional but that is what made her so special. Her heart was and always will be in the right place. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Michael Congel of Lake George, Dorothy Grover and her husband Raymond of Queensbury, Karen Fidd and her husband Tony of Lake George and Danial Congel and his wife Casey of Queensbury; nine grandchildren, sister, Darles Sovie and her husband Jim of Ogdensburg; two brothers, Tom Hurst and John Hurst both of Tennessee. She is also survived by two aunts, Carol Longshore and her husband David of Canton and Jackie Williams and her husband Ralph of FL.
A memorial service was conducted on Monday July 12, 2010 at the Regan and Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Rd., Queensbury, NY.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
