William G. Holloway, 93, of County Rt 40, Massena died at his home surrounded by his family and Hospice Wednesday evening (November 7, 2012).
William was born June 7, 1919 in Bethel Green England the son of Frederick and Ada (Thirza) Holloway. He received his formal education in England learning a trade as a Tool and Die maker. He worked in Altra Radio, London, England, General Electric in Canada, Ford Woodhaven, Detroit, MI and retired from GM Powertrain in Massena. William married Hilda Elizabeth Morris in St. Mary's Anglican Church, Islangton, England.
His wife Hilda preceased him on August 29, 2002.
Surviving William are his sons, William and daughter in law Diane of Massena and Frederick of Waddington; his daughters, Jean Alexander, Patricia and son in-law Francis Badlam both of Massena, and Susan Holloway of Jacksonville, Fl; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and his two sisters, Jean and husband Allen Stenning and Hilda Holloway both of London, England.
William enjoyed fishing, growing tomatoes, making fishing flies, lures, and mowing his lawn. There will be no public services. At the family's request memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
