Funeral services for William (Buck) F. Tebo, age 80, of 1014 Mechanic Street, Ogdensburg, will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at St. Mary’s Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Frary Funeral Home. Burial will be in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery. Mr. Tebo passed away on Wednesday morning, February 6, 2013 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Mr. Tebo is survived by his wife, Sylvia; his son, Joseph; his brother, Robert both of Ogdensburg; two sisters, Joan Denis of Brockville, Ontario and Nora Tebo of Arlington, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Ralph Tebo in 1983, Donald Tebo in 1962, Lawrence Tebo in 1991 and John Tebo in 2009; and two sisters, Lucy Timchak in 1981 and Shirley Vienneau in 1994.
Mr. Tebo was born on January 30, 1933 in Ogdensburg the son of Joseph and Florence Barkley Tebo. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1950. William served in the army as a medic during the Korean Conflict. He first went to work for Acco and later worked for Loblaw’s Grocery Store. He went on to work for P & C in Ogdensburg as a meat cutter in 1960 through 1993. He married his wife, Sylvia LaFave, on May 7th 1967 in Heuvelton.
Buck’s hobbies included fishing, bingo, square dancing and the lottery. He was an avid NY Giants fan.
