Funeral Services for Warren (Keith) Durand, age 84, of Ogdensburg, will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home on 515 Caroline Street with Rev. Deborah Packard officiating. Interment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mr. Durand passed away on Monday morning, October 21, 2013 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Warren is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Tim and David and his wife, Tracy, of Ogdensburg; one daughter, Debra and her husband, Edward Williams, of Ogdensburg; two sisters, Louis Murdock of Heuvelton and Nancy Humphrey of Spokane Washington; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Richard, in 2006; and three brothers, James, Bruce and Reed.
Warren was born on May 10, 1929, in Ogdensburg, the son of James and Blanche Wells Durand. He attended local schools in the area. He married Dorothy Spears on March 14, 1953 at the Presbyterian Church with Rev. Melville Nesbit officiating. He first went to work at Bill Boyesen Atlantic Station and then went to work for ACCO, later retiring from Kinney Drug Store as a merchandise manager after many years of service.
Mr. Durand enjoyed puzzles and doing handy man work.
