Mr. Warren C. Wheeler Sr., age 84, of Hopkinton, passed away on August 24, 2010 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where he had been admitted on the 23rd. There will be a gathering in New York at a later date and a military burial and service in September in Vermont. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Home in Potsdam, NY.

Warren is survived by two children, with Beverly Jarvis, W. Clinton Wheeler Jr. of Alexandria, VA and Regina Jarvis of Hopkinton; six children from a previous marriage, with Tomiko Wheeler, Maria Alexander of Underhill, VT, Linnea LaPerle of Brookfield, VT, Stanley Wheeler of Brookfield, VT, Angela Sprague of Bridgewater, VT, Rimi Tribble of Madison, WI and Erlina Farrington of South Royalton, VT; a brother, Richard Wheeler of AZ; and a sister, Evelyn Law of Barre, VT.
He was predeceased by Beverly Jarvis.
Warren was born November 21, 1925 to Fred R. Wheeler and Ola Grace Warren. He attended rural schools in Vermont. He served in WWII and also in the Korean War in the United States Army. He worked for the Vermont Telephone Company for a few years and then he moved to Hopkinton and purchased the Countyside Inn in Hopkinton. He operated the Inn for 14 years until his retirement.
