Agnes Elizabeth Roach, 107, Ogdensburg. Funeral services for Agnes Elizabeth Roach, age 107, of 816 Pickering Street, Ogdensburg, will be held on Tuesday, November 10, at Frary Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Mrs. Roach passed away November 6, 2009 at United Helpers Nursing Home.

Mrs. Roach is survived by four children, Gerald Roach, of Canastota, Janet Finnegan and her husband, James, of Colorado Springs, CO, Kathleen Ramie and her husband, Donald, of Ogdensburg and Robert Roach, of Ogdensburg; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughter-in-laws, Irene Roach and Carol Roach; three brothers, Earl, Kenneth and Albert Wolstenholme and three sisters, Evelyn Eamon, Margaret Wade and Dorothy Reed LaRose.

Mrs. Roach was born on August 11, 1902 in Massena, the daughter of George and Mabel Stearns Wolstenholme. She graduated from Potsdam High School and A. Barton Hepburn Hospital School of Nursing in 1924. Up until the time of her death, Mrs. Roach was the oldest living graduate of that school. She married Frank Roach on November 20, 1929 at St. Mary’s Church in Ogdensburg. Mr. Roach died March 21, 1989. Mrs. Roach worked as a nurse at Hepburn Hospital for over 40 years. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Ogdensburg.

In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to United Helpers Nursing Home, 8101 State Hwy 68, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
