Julia A. Lutz, 73, Fowler. Julia A. Lutz, 73, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 at E.J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur. Julia was born in Gouverneur on March 18, 1936, the daughter of Floyd and Ada “Louise” Austin Hayden.

She attended Gouverneur schools and received training at the nursing school at House of the Good Samaritan in Watertown. She worked several years at E.J. Noble Hospital inGouverneur and owned a ceramics shop, Julie’s Ceramics, for 25 years. Julia married William Henry Lutz on July 22, 1960 at the Gouverneur First United Methodist Church with Rev. Stanley E. Brown officiating.

Mrs. Lutz enjoyed traveling, casinos, watching NASCAR racing, flowers, and organizing her family reunions.

Julia is survived by her husband Henry; and two sons, William and Janice Lutz of Fowler and John and Kristina Lutz of Fowler.

She was predeceased by a son Bruce Lutz and a brother Robert Hayden.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Rev. Scott M. Smith, pastor of Fowler Baptist Church officiating and burial in Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
