Ronald A. Planty, 69, Waddington. Ronald A. Planty, 69, of County Route 44, Waddington, passed away at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice on Novemer 1, 2009. There will be no funeral services or calling hours.

At the family’s request memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley or Waddington Rescue Squad.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara; children Henry Paro of Memphis, TN, Ronald and wife Tina of Waddington, Christopher of Norfolk, Terry and husband Vincent Halpern of Norwood, and Rhonda and husband Jeffrey Sequin of Louisville; 12 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Planty; a sister, Carol Craig both of Norfolk; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Vernon; and a sister, Elaine Stevens.

Born August 18, 1940 in Norfolk, he was the son of Gerald and Bernice (LaDue) Planty. He served in the US Army during WWII. He Married Barbara Matthews on April 18, 1964 in Madrid. Ronald was employed at Randall Logging in Colton, St. Lawrence Haulers as a dispatcher in Norfolk. Work at Metropolitian Oil as a driver, mechanic, Fourth Coast Pollution in Waddington, and most recently at Barrett's Paving as a Operating Engineer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing.
