Gloria M. Bailey, 77, Ogdensburg. Funeral services for Gloria M. Bailey, State Highway 58, Ogdensburg, will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Deacon Michael Logan officiating. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. Mrs. Bailey passed away on October 30, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband, Rupert; nine children, Cynthia Holmes and her husband, Herb, of Morristown, Susan Schofell and her husband, John, of Ogdensburg, Christopher and his companion, Sandra Woodcock, of Morristown, Shawn Bailey of Morristown, Scott and his wife, Christina, of Ogdensburg, Timothy of Morristown, Andrea Bertrand and her husband, J. Donald, of Morristown, Sandra Chambers and her husband, Daniel, of Heuvelton, and Damie Rae Evans and her husband, John, of Morristown; two brothers, Edward of Connecticut, and Lawrence Langley of Ogdensburg; one sister, Leona Carmody of Ogdensburg; grandchildren, Thomas and Wesley Schofell, Emily, Macy, Alexandra, Ian, Aidan and Iris Bailey, Bailey and Brittany Holmes, Morgan, Linzi and Natalie Chambers, Gavin Bertrand, Amanda, Joseph and Karissa Bertrand and Jack Evans.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and William Langley; two sisters, Mildred Johnson and Frances Kall; and two nephews, Tim and Tom Carmody.
Mrs. Bailey was born on December 21, 1931, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Emory and Eva McCasslin Langley. Mrs. Bailey attended Ogdensburg Free Academy. She married Rupert Bailey in 1956 at St. John’s Episcopal Church. She first went to work at the Surprise Store and later for the National Army Store. She also worked at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Central Supply until her retirement.
Mrs. Bailey was a March of Dimes Volunteer, a polling place monitor and a volunteer for the Morristown Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Bailey enjoyed listening to her children play music and her grandchildren.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Morristown Volunteer Fire Department and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
