Robert J. Plourde, 38, Louisville. Funeral services for Robert J. Plourde, 38, of State Highway 37, Louisville, will be Thursday 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart. Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Robert passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, October 26, 2009.

Robert is survived by his parents, John and Elizabeth Plourde of Massena; his maternal grandmother, Theresa Gibbs of Massena; his daughter, Charissa of Massena; a son, Justin of Massena; two brothers, David and companion Nancy Keminson, and Brian and Nicole of Massena; and uncles aunts, nephews and cousins.

He graduated from Massena Central High School in 1988. He was employed at Alcoa as a pit operator. Starting in 1998 he was a member of the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department, Louisville Turtles and was recently named Fireman of the Year. He was a member of the Massena Rescue Squad, and Alcoa Fire Brigade. A marriage to Rene Butler ended in divorce.

He was an avid NASCAR fan.
