William P. Rafferty, 77, Ogdensburg. Funeral services for William P. Rafferty, age 77 of Lake Street in Ogdensburg and formerly of Utica are incomplete with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home . Mr. Rafferty passed away October 26 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

Surviving are three sons and their wives Patrick and Lori Rafferty, Timothy and Ruth Rafferty, and William and Mary Rafferty all of Ogdensburg; and eight grandchildren, James, Jason, Matthew, Kyle, Tom, William, Timothy and Katie Rafferty.

He was predeceased by sisters Margaret and Alberta; and brothers John and Eugene.

Bill was born on October 11, 1932, in Harrisburg, PA, a son of the late Eugene and Margaret (Ford) Rafferty. He graduated from Brooklyn Catholic High School and enlisted in the U.S. Air force 1951 to 1954. After his honorable discharge, he began working at Armstrong Heating in Ogdensburg until 1961 when he transferred employment to Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center in Utica. He worked as a therapy aide until 1990 when he retired.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, reading and Tim’s dog, Maggie.
