Veronica LaBarge, 93, formerly of Massena and Malone, where she resided with her daughter and son in-law Patty and Lyle Fournier for 15 years, passed away on Feb. 21, 2012 at the St. Regis Nursing Home.

Veronica was born on October 21, 1918 in Hungary the daughter of Steve and Florence (Ferency) Jacobs. She married Everett LaBarge on August 31, 1940 at St. Mary's Church in Massena. Mr. LaBarge predeceased her in 1978. Veronica at one time was a waitress at the Village Inn and also at the Highland Hotel.

Veronica is survived by her children, Richard and wife Pam LaBarge of Massena, Gary and wife Nedra LaBarge of Massena, Patricia "Patty" and husband Lyle Fournier of Potsdam, and Barbara Wharity of Farmington; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.

She was predeceased by a sister Margaret Blais and a brother Steve Jacobs. Veronica enjoyed listening to music, watching television, eating out, she also loved to hear the cawing of the crows. She was an avid Mets fan since the 1960's.
