Memorial services for Valerie Irvine, age 41, of Theresa, will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Deacon John White officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. before the memorial services. Miss Irvine passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, March 31, 2013.
Miss Irvine is survived by her two sons, Dustin and Cody Draper, both of Theresa; her father, H. Michael Irvine and his wife, Connie; her mother, M. Linda Tuttle; two step sisters, Laura and Erin, both of Ogdensburg; her paternal grandmother, Betty Irvine; several cousins; and by many close friends and special guardian angels, Dick and Dorothy Perrigo.
She was born on September 7, 1971 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of H. Michael and M. Linda O’Donoghue Irvine. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1989. She attended Canton ATC. She worked as a sales clerk at Glen Peters in Watertown and was also a sales clerk in Alexandria Bay and did domestic work in the Watertown and Alexandria Bay area.
Miss Irvine enjoyed camping, canoeing and long walks. She loved her dogs and cats, especially her beloved lab, Sugar, her canoeing companion. Her life’s passion was watching her boys grow up.
Valerie had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh that will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Lupus Foundation of America and to both the St. Lawrence & Jefferson County SPCA.
