Timothy Robert Doe, 62, of Simi Valley, formerly of Ogdensburg, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, surrounded by family.
Tim was born in Ogdensburg on August 16, 1950, to Mary and William Doe.
He received his BA in psychology from the SUNY Plattsburg in 1973.
After graduation Tim moved his wife and daughter Jill to Santa Monica. Their new life had began here in California, and eventually they moved to Simi Valley, where he would have three more daughters, Jacqueline, Julie and Jamie, and stay the rest of his life.
Tim's sense of humor and his ability to still act silly was loved and appreciated by all who knew him. He never let his age dictate his actions. He could make everyone laugh, or smile, even on a bad day.
His house was always open to everyone, and many of his daughters’ friends considered him their 'second Dad.' He was generous with whatever he had, and invited everyone along for his adventures.
We will miss his sense of humor, his endless fighting spirit which made us so proud, the grandkids calling for their playmate- 'Papa', and his presence here with us. Above all, Tim loved his family, and would often say his greatest accomplishment and joy was being a Father.
He is survived by his four daughters, Jill, Jacqueline, Julie and Jamie; his two son-in-laws, Josh MacDonald and David Freeman; his loves-his grandchildren Faith, Gavin, Blake, Zachary and Nicholas. Marty and Mickey Snye (sister), Edwin and Patsy Frye (sister), Carol and William Doe (brother), Maurice Doe (brother). And..Yoda.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tim's name to The American Stroke Society or Therapydogs.com.
