A celebration of life for Suzanne M. Doran, of N. Umberland St., Morristown, will be held on Saturday, October 2 , at the American Legion in Benson Mines at 10 a.m. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Doran passed away on September 21, 2010 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Mrs. Doran is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Simon P. Doran and his wife Kristin of Claremont, NH; two daughters, Danielle Barse and her husband Patrick of Morristown, and Jennifer Crewell of Malta; one brother, Wayne and his wife Irene of Pyrites; three sisters, Holly Willard and her husband Denis of Newton Falls, Peggy Anne Kerr and her husband Richard of Sanbornville, NH, and Roberta Provost and her husband Jeff of Newton Falls; three grandchildren, Gabriel and Abigail Doran and Rachel Barse; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son at infancy.
Mrs. Doran was born on July 19, 1942, in Gouverneur, the daughter of Robert and Velva (Brabaw) Burr. She graduated from Clifton Fine High School in 1960. She married Robert Doran on August 14, 196,1 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Netwon Falls, with Father Dowd officiating.
She was a homemaker and a mother all her life.
Mrs. Doran was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary post 1539, where she served as past vice president in Benson Mines. She was one of the first two women to drive an ambulance in Star Lake.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Morristown Volunteer Rescue Squad.
