Funeral services for 80-year old Mrs. Shirley W. Clough will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam with Rev. James Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam.
Friends may call at Seymour Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Clough died at her home in Potsdam, on November 22, 2010.
Survivors include her husband, James of Potsdam; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. George (Sharon) Kahn of Potsdam, and Mrs. Norman (Susan) Buck of Ayer, MA; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Robin Clough of Waterloo; and nine grandchildren, David Kahn, Justin Kahn, Jennifer Clough, Andrew Clough, James Clough, Ethan Clough, Jason Buck, Katherine Buck, and Jeremy Buck.
Other family survivors include three brothers, Leonard and Virginia Wilkins of Massena, Dennis and Alma Wilkins of Port Charlotte, FL, and William and Betty Wilkins of Port Charlotte, FL; three sisters, Mrs. Donalda Sedlock of Massena, Mrs. Dorothy Eros of Massena, and Mrs. Joseph (Kathy) Toth of Frankenmuth, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was born in Massena, October 17, 1930 the daughter of George and Eva (Martin) Wilkins. She was married to James E. Clough on Sept. 3, 1949 in St. John’s Episcopal Church in Massena. For many years Shirley was employed as a Laboratory Technician for St. Lawrence County, working out of the office then located at Potsdam Hospital. She was a former member of Vega Chapter 98 Order of the Eastern Star in Potsdam, and the Amaranth in Massena.
