West Pierrepont – Roy A. Green, 51, of the Plains Road, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at his home while under the care of his loving family and Hospice.
There will be a Celebration of Roy’s Life on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the family home at 19 Plains Road. Calling hours were held privately at the Lawrence Funeral Home in Canton. Interment will also take place at the home.
Roy was born February 26, 1962 in Bennington, VT a son of Rosalie (Tetrault) Green and the late Richard, Sr. He attended Mount Anthony School in Bennington. He served in the US Army from 1980-87 and on June 18, 1983 he married Holly Junker in Falmouth, MA.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Holly; his daughter, Azela “Z” Green and fiancée Jesse Davis of Canton; his grandson, Aiden; a brother, Richard, Jr. of Bennington and his mother-in-law, Audrey Tobin of W. Pierrepont. He will also be missed by his animal friends, Meeka, Panda, Chet, Two-Socks, Hyper-Eyed Kid, Baby, Bobber and Chopper.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his Grandpa Green, Grandmother Tetrault and sister, Robin Green.
Roy was very talented as a motorcycle mechanic, farmer, carpenter, stone mason and electrician. He renovated his entire house, which was his pride and joy. In addition to his love of his family and animals, “he was born and lived to ride” his restored 1971 Honda CB750K Model Motorcycle.
