Rose (Pauline) Catanzarite, 88, of 12 Orchard Road, passed away on

September 21, 2013 at her home after a short illness with her family by her


She was born January 25, 1925 in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was the

daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Trimboli. After graduation from

Mishawaka High School class of 1943, she was a secretarial supervisor at

Uniroyal of Mishawaka, Indiana. She was also employed by Levine's Department Store and Marine Midland Bank of Massena. On May 4, 1946 she married Dominick S. (Julo) Catanzarite in Mishawaka, Indiana at St. Monica's Church.

Pauline was predeceased by Julo in 2004. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, sister and sister-in-law. She is survived by her six children, Julie and Darrel Paquin of Massena, Paul and Sandra Catanzarite of Glenn Allen, Va, Barbara and John Mottinger of North Kingstown, RI, Kathy Catanzarite of Los Angeles, Ca, Patricia and Randy St. Amand of Milton, Vt and Francis and Kathy Catanzarite of Fayetteville, NY. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, also surving Mrs. Catanzarite is her only sibling, Betty and Daniel Buczynski of Parma, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her three sisters-in-law, Loretta and Max Pelifian of Massena, Dora Catanzarite of Massena and Gloria and Toney Catania of Watertown, NY.

Pauline was an avid Notre Dame football fan and looked forward to her yearly trips to see the games with her husband and sister.

Calling hours will be Monday, September 23, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. John Downs presiding. Those wishing to make memorial contribution may make them to either Back The Pack, P.O. Box 16, Massena, NY or Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley. Burial will take place in Calvay Cemetary.
