OGDENSBURG -- Rondell “Ron” J. Belgard age 77, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Per his request, there will be no funeral services.

Surviving are two sons, Michael & Evan Belgard of Ogdensburg; three daughters, Tamsen LaPage of Lakeland FL, Deborah (Ronald) Rossi of Utica and Jennie (Andrew) Colburn of Richville; grandchildren, Frederick, Roger and Morgan Anson, Randy (Angela) Belgard, Daniel II & Nicholas (Anita) Deon, Katherine Rossi, Melanie (Scotty) Williams, Benjamin (Alexa) Sobon, Ashley (Luke) Perrigo, Erin & Andrew Colburn; and great-grandchildren, Frederick Anson III, Courtney Cook, Demetrius Kirkland II, Jasper Belgard, Dylan Deon, Jaxon Williams, Niko Williams, Emma, Levi & Madelyn Perrigo.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Vance and Van Thomas Belgard; and two sisters, Diana Lucas and Gloria Williams.
Ron was born on January 19, 1940 in Potsdam, a son of the late Gerald & Eula (Erwin) Belgard.
He graduated from Madrid Waddington High School and later enlisted in the National Guard, and then active duty with the US Army serving in CONUS Germany and Viet Nam.
Following his discharge, he went to work at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center as a Therapy Aide until his retirement in 1991.
Ron was a member of the Madrid Volunteer Rescue where he served as an EMT and was also a member of the Madrid American Legion.
He also worked part-time for Morris Security Agency, Fox Ambulette Service, Olsten’s, North Country Freedom Homes, PIMMS and St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services as a volunteer driver following his retirement.
He was an avid collector of genealogy, books, music, and he enjoyed his children, grandchildren and friends to the fullest.
