MASSENA -- Robert M. Fournier, 74 of Douglas Road, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, under the care of his family and Hospice.
Friends and family may be received on Monday, July 17, 2017, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena, with Rev. Mark Reilly presiding.
Bob was born on Nov. 10, 1943, the son of Laurenzo and Maxine (Summers) Fournier.
He was a graduate from Massena High School.
On June 1, 1968, he married Loretta Salamon at the Church of The Sacred Heart. Bob was employed by Alcoa, retiring from the Ingot Plant.
He was also an avid hunter and fisherman belonging to several hunting camps in the area.
Surviving Bob are his wife, Loretta (Lorri); a son, Scott M. and granddaughter, Chelsea Elizabeth Fournier all of Massena. He also leaves behind his sisters, Patricia and husband, William Dixon of Central Square; Gloria Bucklin of Syracuse; Suzanne and husband, Craig Williamson of Massena; and brothers, Larry and wife, Catherine of Constantia, NY; and Roger and wife, Lynn both of Massena, also surviving are his sister and brother-in-laws, Linda and David Frary, LuAnn and Frank Francia, Lorraine and Tom Tebo, along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides being predeceased by his parents, Bob was also predeceased by his son, Robert “Hippy” Fournier in 2016.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
