Richard W. Mousaw, 89, formerly of Canton

Richard W. Mousaw, 89, formerly of Canton, passed away Wednesday, July 3 at the Focus Rehab and Nursing Center in Utica.

Richard was born in Canton June 5, 1924, the son of Michael and Estelle (DeGuff) Mousaw.

Richard served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

June 2, 1948 he was united in marriage to Barbara Rosenbarker.

For many years until his retirement in 1994 Richard was employed with Gaetano Construction Co.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Carpenters Union.

Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Tonia Derouin and husband Robert, Watertown, and Katryn Mousaw, Utica; two sons, David Mousaw, Raleigh, N.C. and Thomas Mousaw, Charlotte, N.C. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five brothers and sisters.

Calling hours for Richard will be Monday, July 8 at the O’Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US Hwy 11; Canton, from 3 to 7 p.m.
