A Mass of Resurrection for Richard “Dick” G Girard,67 of the Willard Rd. will be Wednesday (November 7,2012) 10:00 am at the St. Lawrence Church, Louisville with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. Interment will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.

There will be no public calling hours. Dick died Friday afternoon (November 2, 2012) at Fletcher Allen Medical Center where he was patient for the past 11 days. Surviving Dick is his wife, Linda, sons Curtis and wife Eileen of Vernon Center,NY, Jeffrey and wife Susan of San Diego, C A, Richard and wife Amy of Louisville, NY, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, Dick is also survived by his brothers, Robert and wife Cindy, Carl and wife Lorenza, sisters Joyce and husband Raymond Legault, Barb and companion Deanna Oaks all of Louisville, Alma and husband Dennis Wilkins of Port Charlotte, FL., nieces and nephews. Dick was predeceased by his infant son Thomas.

Dick was born in Massena September 17,1945 the son of Elie and Evelyn (Rouselle) Girard. A graduate of Massena High School, Dick served his country honorably in the US Army during the Viet Nam War from 1964 to 1967.Following his Honorable Discharge Dick started his working career at Alcoa in the Rod and Cable Mill as a Rod Servicer retiring in 2003. Dick married the former Linda A .Hastings September 4, 1976 in Louisville, NY. Dick was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing on the St. Lawrence River.

Dick for many years was a Louisville Volunteer Fireman.
