Surviving is her son, James Black of Wellsboro, PA; soul mate, Constance Wortman of Hammond; two brothers, Robert Stevenson of Jackson WY, John Stevenson and his wife Gail of Tempe, AZ and an absolutely amazing flock of friends and family.

Cathy was born on August 23, 1955 in York PA, a daughter of the late Louis and Doris (Cooper) Stevenson. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA and continued her education at Princeton Theological Seminary where she received her Masters of Divinity. She began her ministry in Elmira NY, where she worked for ten years and later moved to Oneida, NY for an additional one year. In 2005, she relocated to Hammond where she has been the Pastor of the Hammond Presbyterian Church for the past seven years, also gaining certifications in Spiritual Direction and Leadership during this time.

She enjoyed all life had to offer, from photography and kayaking to writing and crafts. She cherished the friendships she so easily acquired throughout the many chapters of her life. She excelled at laughing and making others do the same. She saw life through a different lens, and not only shared but inspired others to do the same.
