Paul J. Main Sr., 80, of Howlett Hill, and formerly of Ogdensburg, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010.
Calling hours will be 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m., both at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main St., Marcellus. Burial will be in Howlett Hill Cemetery.
Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Etta M. Bice; children, Paul (Kathy) Main Jr. of Fayetteville, Kathryn Cole of Marietta, and Marietta (Bob) Kenney of Bernhards Bay; a sister and brother, Sister John Helen GNSH and Kermit Main; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and three beloved dogs.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen Main; son, John Main, in 2008; and grandson, Jayson Cole, in 1998.
Born in Ogdensburg, Paul was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
He was an automotive mechanic and instructor for 57 years.
Paul had worked at Medical Arts.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, gardening with his wife and fishing.
