
Rensselaer Falls – Paul Howard Stewart, Jr., 55, of County Route 14, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 10th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton. A memorial service will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Rensselaer Falls Cemetery.
Paul is survived by his mother and step-father, Shelley and Maynard Planty; four children, Brad, Nicole, Shelby and Samantha; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott M. and Yvonne of Pyrites and Steve J. and Cathy of Rensselaer Falls; and six grandchildren and his estranged wife Rowena.
He was predeceased by his father.
He was born February 20, 1958 in Canton. After graduating Canton High School, Paul served in the US Marine Corp. and had worked for Sergi’s in Canton, St. Lawrence Zinc, Balmat and most recently as a cook for the Hot Tamale in Potsdam. Paul was known as a workaholic.
