A Celebration of Life for Paul Davis, age 51, of 101 Mill Street, Hammond, will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 6 - 7 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Frary Funeral Home before the Celebration of Life. Mr. Davis passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at his home in Hammond.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Deeanna; three children, Chris Clement and his wife, Shannon, of Morristown, Reece Davis and his wife, Lacey, of Ogdensburg and Leeah Satterley and her husband, John, of Chippewa Bay; his parents, George and Betty Davis of Texas; a brother, Richard, and his wife, Nancy, of Texas; three sisters, L’Ella Ramirez and her husband, John, of Texas, Nancy Jones and her husband, Clayton, of Texas and Lisa Solis and her husband, Joe, of Texas; and ten grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter, Nikki Mae Davis, in 2008 and his mother in law, Joan Spriggs, in 2009.
Mr. Davis was born in Free Port, Texas on September 1, 1961 the son of George and Betty Spriggs Davis. He graduated from Angelton High School in Texas. He was an electrician all his life and worked for IBEW Local #910 Electrical Contractors Union. Paul worked on various jobs in Fort Drum, NY and numerous sub stations. He married Deeanna Spriggs on April 21, 1990 in Morristown.
Paul was a local firefighter in Hammond, NY and recently acquired his 10 year pin. Paul dreamed as a child of becoming a firefighter and felt that it was the highest honor to have been a member of the fire department. He thought of them as his family and was taken in as one of their own.
Paul enjoyed going fishing with his wife and his dog, Mojo, more than anything in the world. He also appreciated and enjoyed music.
