
Patricia “Pat” I. Pryce, age 76, of Star Lake, passed away at home on Saturday, May 19, 2012 under the care of her loving family and Hospice.
Her funeral mass will be on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Hubert’s Catholic Church, Star Lake. Her burial will be in the Oswegatchie Cemetery followed by a reception held at the Benson-Mines American Legion. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are being handled by French Family Funeral Home.
Pat was born on October 18, 1935 in Newton Falls. She was the only child of Llewellyn “Wampy” and Armilda “Millie” (Bebee) Briggs. She graduated from Clifton – Fine Central School in 1954 and married Edgar “Lee” Pryce on August 8, 1954.
Mrs. Pryce worked as a cook for the Star Lake Campus and for the snack bar at the Newton Falls Paper Mill. She was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus Auxillary, the Rosary and Altar Society, and had taught catechism. Her favorite pastime was sing-a-longs with her family and friends. Pat enjoyed playing cards, board games and visiting casinos.
Her survivors include her husband of 57 years, Lee; her son, Karl Pryce, Sr. and his wife, Ethel of Star Lake; her daughter, Diana and her husband, Bill Kirkpatrick of Elyria, OH; her aunt, Doris Barclay of Watertown; six grandchildren, Joy, Jill, Patrick, Billy, Garrett and Emily; three great-grandchildren, Allie, Zack and Josh; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by her parents and her step-father, Kenneth “Pearly” Morrison.
