Graveside services for Mary Farrell, 67, of Ogdensburg, will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Ogdensburgh Cemetery with Rev. Shaw Mudge officiating. A reception will be held following the services at 1 p.m. at the Ogdensburg Moose Lodge. Arrangements are being handled by Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Mrs. Farrell passed away on Wednesday evening, May 22, at her private residence.
Mrs. Farrell is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Bob) Spears, Susie (John) Ferguson and Nancy Farrell and special friend, Randy Stowe; four grandchildren, Megan Ferguson, Andrew Spears, Robert Spears and significant other Heather Abar and Dakota Brady; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb Spears, Jenna Spears and Lucas Spears; five sisters, Dorothy (Ed) Strong of Constable, Judy (Richard) Dalton of Heuvelton, Linda (Robert) Foultz of Heuvelton, Rosemary Vanderburg of Ogdensburg, and Susan (Leland) Young of Nevada; three brothers, Robert Lesperance of Georgia, Chuck Sargent of West Virginia and William Sargent of Rhode Island; a special aunt, Lillian Patchin; and special nieces and nephews Kim Bell and Chris Foultz. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Lena Coonrad, and three siblings, Frances Joseph Lesperance, Edmond Sargent and Carol Powell.
Mary was born in Ogdensburg on March 29, 1946. She attended Ogdensburg Free Academy.
She married her husband, Bernie Farrell, on October 5, 1963. He predeceased her in 2001.
Mary loved NASCAR, the Moose Lodge and bird watching.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Ogdensburg S.P.C.A or the St. Lawrence Valley Chapter of Hospice.
