Funeral services for Marjorie J. Premo, 88, a resident of the St. Regis Nursing Home, Massena will be held Tuesday November 30, at Sacred Heart Church at 12 p.m. Friends and family may be received on Tuesday from 10 until 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Marjorie passed away on November 25, 2010 at the St. Regis Nursing Home.
She is survived by two daughters, Julia Tolhurst of Massena, and Barbara and husband Michael Gerace of Lake Frederick, VA; four grandchildren, Kimberly and Richard Trudell of Phoenix, Michelle and John Branigan of Phoenix, Todd and Jaymie Gerace of Fredericksburg, VA; and Carrie Gerace of Centerville, VA; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Alisa Trudell, Jack and Emma Branigan, and Tabyas Gerace; a brother, Robert and Joyce Southworth of Burke; a sister-in-law Ruth Southworth of Malone; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, David Premo; brothers, William and Eunice Southworth, Lloyd and Agnes Southworth, and John Southworth; and a son-in-law, William Tolhurst.
She was born October 2, 1911, in North Bangor, the daughter of John and Marion (Taylor) Southworth. Marjorie graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, and attended Adirondack Business School in Malone.
She married Howard J. Premo on August 21, 1945, in Massena. They resided on Clary Street. Mr. Premo predeceased her on May 10, 2002.
At one time Marjorie worked at Massena Airport as a Secretary. She and her husband ran their own business, Howard J. Premo, Inc. Lawn & Garden Center for many years.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. Marjorie enjoyed reading and enjoyed a good laugh.
