MASSENA – Prayer service for Marjorie J. Ori, 85, will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. (August 16, 2010) with Rev J. Michael Gaffney presiding at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
Friends and family may call on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews St. Massena.
Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park in Ogdensburg.
Marjorie passed away on August 13, 2010 at the home of her son in Massena.
Marjorie is survived by a son Jon S. and wife Kathleen Kelly-Ori of Massena, two daughters, Faye and husband Christopher A. Durand of Norwood; Ann and husband William Reynolds of Cortland, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; a brother Robert Fleury of Westville; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceasesd by three brothers, Douglas, Roland, and Wayne Fleury, and two sisters, Bernadette Premo and Pat Plourde.
She was born March 26, 1925 in Westville, the daughter of Clarence and Phoebe (Charette) Fleury.
She married Stephen J. Ori on May 12, 1951. Mr. Ori predeceased her on July 12, 1994.
She attended CVPH in the Nursing program. She was a RN working for private care through Massena Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed crocheting, and taking care of her indoor plants.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed the company of her two cats, Gizmo and Oliver.
She was a charter member of the Ugly Club, a social group of close friends, and a member of the Ladies of the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. # 1702.
