WADDINGTON: Marion S. Vallance, 78 of County Route 14, passed away on Nov. 20, 2013 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 23, 2013 at the Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington.
Friends and family may be received on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, 28 Clinton St. Waddington.
Interment will follow in New Brookside Cemetery.
Marion was born on Dec. 14, 1934 in Madrid, NY the daughter of Clifford and Myrtle (Irish) Mayette.
She married Rex J. Vallance on October 10, 1954 at the Waddington Methodist Church. Mr. Vallance predeceased her on Nov. 9, 2004.
She is survived by her children, Debra and Leo Waldrif of Chase Mills; James and Vicki Vallance of Madrid, Ricky of Madrid, Susan Vallance of Madrid, Linda Brown of Norwood, Wanda and Elby Cleveland of Cato; Gloria and Carl Planty of Madrid, Gary Vallance of Madrid, Penny Vallance of Canton, Michael and Cassey Vallance of Madrid; Rex Jr. of Cato, 37 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren, her siblings Fred Mayette, Terry Mayette, Clifford Mayette, Pat Sharlow all of Waddington, Marguerite Harvey of Madrid, Bonnie Macawayne of Waddington, Evelyn Mayette of Florida, and Louis Mayette of Watertown, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two children, Dale and Laura Lee Vallance.
Marion loved to play bingo and poker. She was an avid New York Yankees fan.
